Elastocon TPE Technologies Inc. has expanded its line of clear thermoplastic elastomers to include several new softer grades.

The new products in the CLR series are formulated for consumer goods and other uses requiring clarity, soft touch and UV stability. The grades carry Shore A hardness values of 15, 20, 30, 35 and 40.

Elastocon of Rochester, Ill., says the additions provide non-blooming high strength with a tactile surface. They are U.S. Food and Drug Administration compliant alternatives to PVC and silicone. They also are easy to process and don’t require drying. As with other CLR grades, they can be overmolded onto polypropylene.
